Given that today was a VERY windy day over by Great Highway, I think everyone did a wonderful job to start the racing season. You will only get better as the season progresses and as you keep coming to adidas Urban Run San Francisco this year (not a shameless plug, just an honest assessment). :)

Weather forecast from Yahoo/Weather.com:
Today: Windy with rain showers. High 52F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

Results:

Anders R. 1:30:45

Adrian J. 1:33:14
Celeste D. 1:33:16

Brian V. 1:38:09
Joel R. 1:48:19

I jumped in at the last second (after debating evening running) and was forced to start mid pack (doh!)and ran a respectable time. I need to run longer than 6 miles though if I want to not break down in these long races.

Final time 1:26:06

Are you f-ing serious? A 1:26...I have to duly note that! Wow! Yeah, going into this race, I didn't have the racing mindset on top of the lack of miles. So now this is a wake up call for me to get my act together and get serious. Eugene is less than 13 weeks from now....not a lot of time left for serious marathon training.

I must have been blind though because I heard Oliver call out your name, but didn't see you. You must have made a quick pass along Great Highway.

i'm planning on running another half in aug/sept to track my progress, trying for a sub 1:20 by then. =)
